OKC Author/Poet Giving 20% of New Novel Sales Revenue to Charity
Wednesday December 21, 2005
In an attempt to break up all the shopping talk around the holidays and continue yesterday's charity theme, I wanted to mention a poignant new novel from Oklahoma City author and poet, Dr. Hanna Saadah. A couple of weeks ago, Dr. Saadah had a book signing for The Mighty Weight of Love, his new novel centered on two families and their unlikely bond before and after the Oklahoma City Bombing of April 1995.
Known for his marvelous poetry collections, Dr. Saadah announced that 20% of the revenue from all of his book sales, including The Mighty Weight of Love, would go to the charities by The Oklahoma City Community Foundation. The novel is well worth the purchase as you'll see in my review, which includes a purchase link. It has also received many glowing reviews, including one from former Mayor Kirk Humphries. Dr. Saadah's generosity is one more reason you should pick up a copy for yourself or someone you love this holiday season. It is truly an inspiring and touching tale.
